Hirokazu Yoshikawa, NYU
Session: January 18, 3:10 – 3:30PM

The rights of youth affected by unauthorized status in many countries around the world are being violated, with severe consequences for their well-being. This Paper will review what is known about the impact of unauthorized status on youth well-being in the context of economic migration as well as conflict-driven, refugee migration. Solutions will be reviewed based on specific evaluations for these populations, ranging from educational and socio-emotional learning interventions to advocacy and communications science, as well as public policy interventions. Evidence will be drawn from the regions of Middle East / North Africa, West Africa, North America and Europe.
